As far as I can tell, it's the same as it used to be ..... directions are here .... http://folding.stanford.edu/English/LinUNIGuide for a 64 bit linux system.

This is the latest ubuntu 10.04 64 bit release ... http://www.ubuntulinux.org/desktop/get-ubuntu/download .... don't forget to select the 64 bit edition ... lol

Probably not with older equipment, but if you have anything new ... i.e. an ssd drive, new motherboard/memmory or cpu, the 10.04 recognizes everything.

It may have slightly better performance, but not necessarily. (I just like using the latest distro). roflol

That did it!! C2D is up and running :D

I'll know PPD better later tonight, has unit #6063 right now

Did over 11k yesterday with 2 SMP and the GPU, I'm hoping for a good amount more (not stellar, but good) I also have to go and install a network at my in-laws, I'm hoping I can talk them into leaving the PCs on 24/7 they have brand spanking new 64 bit PCs >:)
