I got tired of trying to figure out how the hell to unlock weapons in Single Player Battlefield 2, so I started searching for a mod that could help out. WOW what a mod! Several new maps, lots of new weapons, and alot of playing for other sides instead of US Marines. Glad I found this little gem, definately made this game interesting again!
WARNING: 1.39GB DOWNLOAD! I chose a US server and downloaded it in 30 minutes, so it was really fast! Those who try it let me know what you think!

Would love to bud but I still don't have my rig together yet. It's still going to be a while.

Unlike a real nuke if you're a few hundred yards from ground zero you'll survive.

Here's a screenshot of AIX Moon-something map, I really like the night action, seeing the rounds going down range.

My main complaint about these mods, is how hard it is to win! Even on 'Easy' setting rounds are flying at you with great accuracy! I'll get more screenies..

I'm going to dl it and burn it to a disk so when I get my rug running I can install it.

The Wake Island screenie is from Nuke Mod, the Moon screenie is from AIX.

So bolth mods a good or do you recommend one over the other

I like em both, mainly for the different weapons you get to use, and the different maps. I just wish when you know you're hidden good the computer would know to not start shooting at ya! But yeah I really like em both, best mods I've seen for the game so far.

AIX Zatar Wetlands is one kick-ass map! Helos are alot easier to fly with better weapons...


The tank gets a new UI with a few tweaks here and there...


Even the APC has more features and ranging capabilities...

AIX Oil Refinery is one mucked-up map! All the different levels, you never can be sure where you're being shot at from! I wont give any screenies except this one, a distant one. Anything else you can't tell much about it...

This next map, I can't remember it's name, but you're fighting for NATO against China. Fighting in this boulder-strewn terrain is very difficult. With many medics on the field I must have been revived a dozen times!


All these maps and weapons, I would go as far as saying Battlefield 2, in my book, has been revived as the best First-Person Shooter game of all time!

I found an incredible resource for mods for Battlefield 2, including a whole bunch of maps for the AIX mod. I've been downloading/playing them all day. With all the different mods/maps available for this game, I have to say it was the best game I ever bought. It's like having 100 games in one. Other FPS games, for one reason or another I didn't care much for, either the controls were hard to get used to, weapons weren't that great or some other limiting factor that turned me off to them.
